Tina Shattuck - Founder
Women Hold the Key is an idea that I had been thinking about for a few years, but it was nothing more than fuzzy thoughts of "what if"...we could let the women who are important to us know, we could (secretly - through wearing keys) recognize each other in the world, we could come together in community & harness our collective power... As with most ideas that come to fruition; circumstance, timing, and need for connection pushed me to go from thought to action. Women Hold the Key was born in the fall of 2018. My fabulous friend Cat McCadden and I designed the original key, and I went about designing the other two smaller keys. I did a soft launch with a small number of core women in December of 2018, and an eventual roll out in March of 2019. Although 2020 has become what I call a lost year as far as business goes, I have come to understand that my my connection to the folks important to me is at the core of what we do here - creating and supporting community. To date over 500+ keys are in the world - hopefully helping women connect to themselves and each other in more deep and meaningful ways. Here's to a more deeply connected new year - 2021 - the year of women's connection. |
